SKYWORTH’s 30+ Years of
Commitment to Superior Picture Quality

Picture quality is determined by several elements, including screen, backlight (module), chip, engine, and tuning. With SKYWORTH 30+ PICTURE QUALITY TUNING, SKYWORTH’s 30+ years of experience in picture quality tuning, SKYWORTH’s “technology-driven professional team” guides the tuning direction to create a superior picture quality standard across its portfolio of products. SKYWORTH’s “technology-driven professional team” provides a continuous guarantee on talents while “SKYWORTH 30+ picture quality tuning” guides the direction of picture tuning. The "Professional Picture Quality Test Sequence Library" and "500+ Picture Quality Experience Test Cases" are the gatekeepers that help achieve premium image definition and set the foundation for all SKYWORTH TVs.

A technology-driven R&D team
The talented design and engineering team are one of SKYWORTH’s most valued assets. Engineers are assigned to different modules based on their overall strengths and expertise, ensuring the best people are put forward for each module. At the same time, professionalism is respected by recruiting experts from all backgrounds including color-quasi-engineers from the director’s monitor industry to gaming PQ engineers from the e-sports display industry, ensuring a strong and skilled team.
SKYWORTH’s 30+ PICTURE QUALITY TUNING MODEL
SKYWORTH’s 30+ PICTURE QUALITY TUNING MODEL quickly and accurately measures the capability model of the chip before inserting new SoC and image quality chips. It reviews seven dimensions of picture quality (local dimming, noise reduction, sharpness, color, contrast, MEMC, and HDR) to realize the full potential of the chip's picture quality. Thanks to the personalized capabilities of the chip, we gain two competitive advantages on top of its all-round functionality. This is SKYWORTH’s minimum requirement on picture quality.
A professional library of picture quality test sequences
SKYWORTH has the industry’s strongest professional library of picture quality test sequences, which consists of 166 different dimensions to guide engineers to fine-tune picture quality. They collect and produce materials separately from color, noise, motion, sharpness, and contrast, by using machine deep learning to sample the contents of 10G pictures (about 10,000 pcs) and 10T videos (about 3000 high-definition movies), optimizing parameters through different types of graphics modeling. Engineers extracted 2160 categories of structure and feature and transformed these into testing materials for accurate and effective picture quality testing. These are now a set of high-quality testing materials for effective assessment of picture quality.
500+ picture quality test cases
To offer a consistent and excellent viewing experience for users, SKYWORTH spent three years developing 500 pcs of picture quality test cases (which is continuously expanding), covering a total of 18 subdivision dimensions including screen, T-con, color, sharpness, contrast, brightness, noise reduction, MEMC, local dimming and color accuracy. SKYWORTH have simulated different input channels (HDMI, USB, online source, etc.) and timing (8K, 4K, 1080P, 720P, etc.) for each test case to demonstrate various real user scenarios. AI recognizes the source input channel and timing, which customizes the optimal picture quality parameter model to present the perfect picture to users. This is our accepted standard on picture quality for SKYWORTH.

3D LUT Film Original Color Broadcast-grade monitors’ color accuracy, authentically presenting creators’ intentions

SKYWORTH is one of the first brands in the industry to apply 3D LUT film industry professional color correction technology to TVs. To achieve better color accuracy, SKYWORTH uses CALMAN to perform automatic correction of thousands of color points, and fine-tune Gamma and white balance. Every model is customized to optimize the CALMAN data conversion algorithm to accurately adapt the exported data to the screen, fully explore the potential of the screen, restore the shooting scene with high fidelity, and present the original creator's intentions. To make 3D LUTs on TVs, especially 8K TVs, we take the lead in the industry. From functional logic design to debugging and inspection, the whole process is an experiment to improve TV standards for color accuracy.

Functional Logic Design

With a 3D LUT user import and transfer logic design, supported by a functional verification mechanism, SKYWORTH ensures that the TV is equipped with the best LUT data.

Debugging and Inspection

Thousands of color points are calibrated and are verified one by one. The LUT files are repeatedly debugged and tested to ensure the best color accuracy.
